Moraira 

Moraira is a small fishing village, directly next to the Mediterranean Sea, on the Costa Blanca and characterized by the tourism and to which the 4 km inland laying Teulada belongs. Both villages lay in one of the best climate areas in the world. Nestled between the mountains and sea the annual average temperature is about 18ºC. Here you have a guarantee of 300 days sunshine. Villas of wealthy residents from all parts of Spain and Europe define the biggest part of the landscape. But there is also a small old part of the town. Despite of the tourism both places have managed to keep their originality. There are not too many hotels and except for two apartment buildings with seven floors there are no multi-storey buildings. Moraira has an elder population except for the holiday seasons, when the apartments and villas are rented to people of all ages. Moraira has turned up to be a popular holiday location during the summer months. Nevertheless the parish tries to avoid massive tourism as you have it in Calpe or Benidorm.

Moraira is situated directly on the sea on the Costa Blanca, Teulada, the associated second community on the other hand is almost six kilometers inland, in one of the best climates in the world. The village has succeeded in spite of tourism, to preserve its originality.
